Lions roar on Grand Final stage

Alec Baldwin and Ray McGrath raise the Reserves premiership trophy after a crushing 121-point win in the 2023 Grand Final over Port Macquarie.

Nambucca Valley proved far too strong in the Reserves Grand Final, winning by a massive 121-points over Port Macquarie.

The Lions had 29 scoring shots, almost one scoring shot per two minutes, and had the result sewn up before half time.

Ray McGrath kicked eight goals while Jesse Stanton and Aaron Clarke with four and three goals respectively also had field days in the forward half.

The Magpies got on the board in the last term with two goals but by that stage the damage was well and truly done by a dominant Lions outfit.
