Attention coaches & managers – join the Force
Nominations are now open for coaches and managers wishing to be involved in the North Coast Force Junior representative program for 2023.
Further to the announcement of additional support from the Sydney Swans Academy, Force coaches will have access to professional development opportunities, guidance, and technical advice from Academy personnel. This is a great opportunity for local coaches to build their knowledge and skill set for the benefit of all teams they coach.
The focus of the Force rep program will be on the development of the individual players, rather than team performance. Each team will have a Coach and at least one Assistant Coach appointed, with all coaches required to hold a minimum of a current Foundation coaching accreditation.
Each team will also have a Manager who should have experience in a similar role and will ideally hold a current First Aid accreditation (or similar).
North Coast Force coaches and managers will receive an honorarium to offset out of pocket expenses incurred whilst involved in the program.
Age groups for boys will be Under 13 (born 2010 and 2011), Under 15 (born 2008 and 2009), and Under 17 (born 2006 and 2007).
In the Youth Girls space, exciting plans are underway to add a Youth Girls 15 team to the Youth Girls 13 and Youth Girls 17 teams that competed in 2022.
Prospective coaches and managers will need to be able to commit to the open selection trials for the 2023 program on Sunday 26 March and Sunday 2 April, as well as the fortnightly training sessions (Wednesdays) commencing on 26 April.
