AFL North Coast presentation ceremonies go online

There will be yet another first in 40 seasons of AFL North Coast history as the end of season award ceremonies for both the Junior and Senior Competitions go online.

In recent years the League awards have been presented at the respective Grand Finals, however with no opportunity to stage these events in 2021 an alternative approach has had to be adopted. In this digital age of online gatherings it makes perfect sense for our presentations to be delivered in the same manner.

The awards for the Junior Competition will be presented via a series of Facebook Live events to be staged on Friday 24 September. In the four days leading in to this event (i.e. Monday 20 to Thursday 23 September) the Best and Fairest vote count leader boards for the first three quarters of the season for each age group will be posted on Facebook to set the scene for Friday’s event.

The Senior Competition awards will be presented in the same format the following week. Progressive leader boards for each grade will be posted on Facebook from Monday 27 to Thursday 30 September, ahead of the final count and award presentation on Friday 1 October.
