“On this day in September” – 2 September

2 September has been a date when two Senior Competition Grand Finals have been staged, with both the 2006 and 2017 deciders falling on this date.
2006 SENIOR GRAND FINALS

Reserves: Sawtell Toormina Saints reverse the Senior result to claim their third straight Reserves flag

Under 18: Grafton Tigers end the Breakers winning run to win a nail biter by just two points
Damien Dickson (Breakers) receives the Nathan Harris Medal as B.O.G. despite being in the losing team
