Training for all key people in footy clubs
The North Coast Education Roadshow will provide valuable learning opportunities for current and new club administrators, coaches, umpires, and Auskick Co-ordinators ahead of the 2020 season.
This is a great opportunity for the key personnel in clubs to not only be upskilled, but also to network with people in similar roles from other clubs and share ideas.
The Roadshow will be held at Nambucca RSL on Sunday 1 March from 10:00am to 1:15pm.
The program for administrators will include sessions on the use of social media and lead conversion, as well as important updates on areas such as clubs’ Working with Children obligations, and sponsorship opportunities through JS Sports.
The coaches workshop will focus on designing and delivering training sessions for a wide variety of ability levels which has real applications for coaches of both Junior and Senior teams. The session will be led by the League’s Coach Educator, Darren Allie, and will include both practical and theory components.
People wanting to take up umpiring will have the chance to learn the rules of the game through a theory session, whilst the practical session will teach areas such as positioning and teamwork. This is a great way to learn the role before taking charge of a match for the first time.
Auskick Co-ordinators will be involved in theoretical and practical sessions that will engage and retain kids, together with a session that will look at strategies for transitioning kids into Junior footy.
There’s no doubt that clubs that are better run, teams and individuals that are better coached, and matches that are better umpired lead to significantly enhanced retention of players.
These sessions are not to be missed! RSVP to your club to confirm your place in one of the above sessions.
