What’s better than 1 v 2? Two 1 v 2 clashes!
Coffs Harbour Breakers and Port Macquarie Magpies Women’s teams are set to face off in a match that has major implications at the pointy end of the ladder.
Breakers proved too strong in the wet last time these two met and inflicted the only loss of the season upon the Magpies. Port were missing several key players and could find themselves in the same situation due to the impact of university exams which leaves a question mark over the availability of players such as Cambridge McCormick and Casey Miosge.
Breakers are the surprise packet of the season and will be keen to keep their positive development headed in an upward direction. Katika Adams and Bella Crawley have been supremely reliable this season whilst newcomers Bella Grace and Tarryn Arnold are offering different dimensions to the team.
The margins in this match are very small and the result could come down to accuracy in front of goal.
The Northern Beaches/Grafton Women’s team will be keen to test themselves against reigning premiers Sawtell. The “Blue Tigers” are improving week on week and will see this match as a chance to measure how much the team has developed since the last time these two matched up.
The Saints are expected to be without Ahlani Eddy and Casey Uikelotu due to knee and hamstring injuries respectively, and have spearhead Keira Basset playing on one leg. The Saints will see the match against the “Blue Tigers” as a real danger game and will be drawing on their experience to get them through this match.
