Coaches for senior rep teams locked in

Ben Watson and Katika Adams will be coaching the men's and women's AFL North Coast senior representative teams in 2025.

IT’S now known who will be calling the shots when the North Coast Force senior representative teams are playing in Gunnedah on June 28.

Katika Adams will be coaching the women’s representative team when the Force women battle it out for the Regional Australia Cup against the AFL North West and AFL Central West teams.

The coach of the men’s representative team will be Ben Watson. The men’s team will also be playing in Gunnedah at the end of June against the North West Blue Heelers for the Challenge Shield which the men’s teams of the two Leagues first played for back in 1998.

Both coaches have a wealth of coaching experience behind them and are excited about the prospect of working with the finest players in the AFL North Coast.

“The excitement of North Coast footy coming back is something I can’t wait for, and I’m eager to get to the local games and start building a squad from the best talent our league has to offer,” Watson said.

“It’s been nine long years since our league’s name was etched onto the Challenge Shield, and this is the year we’re determined to change that.

“I’m thrilled that men’s representative footy is making its return to our area in 2025, and I’m truly privileged to be coaching the team this year.”
