Jack Hardman named in Allies team
Former North Coast local Jack Hardman has been named in the Allies Team that will take on Vic Country in Round 1 of the NAB AFL Under 18 Division 1 National Championships this Sunday.
Hardman, 17, grew up in Yamba and played Junior footy with the Lower Clarence Eagles. He moved to Newcastle several years ago to pursue higher representative honours which has paid off in spades! Jack is now playing club footy for UNSW in Sydney, and has played for the Sydney Swans Reserves side in the NEAFL on several occasions over the past two seasons.
The Allies team comprises the best under 18 players from NSW/ACT, Queensland, Northern Territory, and Tasmania. They play in the Division 1 National Championships against powerhouse teams Vic Metro, Vic Country, Western Australia, and South Australia.
The Allies Round 1 match against Vic Country is at Blacktown International Sportspark on Sunday 11 June at 12:30pm.
Hamish Ellem (Grafton Tigers) and Harry Parker (Coffs Breakers) will also be at Blacktown International Sportspark for the NSW/ACT Rams Under 16 Round 1 NAB AFL Under 16 National Championships match against Queensland on Monday.
Harry is still recovering from a broken hand and won’t be available for selection, but Hamish will be hoping to get plenty of game time.
The NSW/ACT Rams match against Queensland is on Monday 12 June at 12:30pm.
We wish all three boys the best for the National Championships campaign.
