Three clubs enjoy junior premiership spoils

Nambucca Valley players celebrate as the final siren sounds to signal the end of the 2024 AFL North Coast Youth Girls 13s Grand Final.

THE six AFL North Coast junior grand finals saw three clubs lift at least one premiership trophy.

Nambucca Valley proved itself the queen of the younger Youth Girls age groups winning both the Youth Girls 13s and Youth Girls 15s grand finals.

Bellingen continued its dominance of the Youth Girls 17s age group winning the grand final for the fourth time in five years. The only year during that stretch the Bulldogs didn’t win in the oldest girls age group was when the season was cut-short by Covid restrictions.

Port Macquarie won all three boys age groups.

The Swoopers overcame Northern Beaches in the Under 12s, the Magpies caused an upset in the Under 14s overcoming minor premier Sawtell/Toormina and in the Under 16s the Magpies proved too strong again for the Saints.
