Not too late to nominate for the Force
There’s been a fantastic response to the 2023 North Cost Force representative program, but there’s still time and space for more players to nominate.
With the ongoing growth of Junior footy, the Force has gone from strength to strength in recent years and is highly competitive with the programs that it competes against. This ongoing growth has already been evident in 2023 with the largest number of nominations received in the program’s history.
Another factor in the growth is the decision to enter Youth Girls teams in all three age groups. For the first time, the Force will field female dedicated teams at Under 13, Under 15, and Under 17 age groups.
Paul Taylor, North Coast Force Program Manager, is excited to see the growing interest in players wanting to represent the region.
“This year, we have genuine competition for places in all of the male age groups. This hasn’t always been the case and means that we should be fielding our strongest male teams yet,” Taylor said.
“Prior to last year, we had only ever fielded a Youth Girls 17 team, so to think that we’ve added two age groups in just two years is amazing. The response to having three female teams has been outstanding, but there’s still scope for more players to nominate and be considered.”
The second and final trial is at Wiigulga Sports Complex on Sunday 2 April between 10:00am and 12:00pm. Nominate HERE and attend the trial to be considered for selection.
