Senior fixture for 2024 released
THE fixture for the 2024 AFL North Coast senior competition has been finalised and it’s now little more than five weeks until the season begins.
When the first bounce of the season takes place on April 13, the AFL North Coast will have five clubs fielding both a men’s and women’s team as well as an expanded Under 18 competition.
AFL Northern NSW Community Football & Competition Manager Brad Greenshields said the 2024 season promises to be a great one for both the men’s and women’s competitions.
“The standard of football played in the AFL North Coast has improved each year and I’m confident it will again in 2024,” Greenshields said.
“With this in mind I’m sure the five clubs playing both mens and womens in the senior competition this year are going to produce a memorable season.”
Other highlights of the upcoming 2024 season are:
- The Anzac Round on April 27 will see local rivals the Coffs Breakers and Sawtell/Toormina meet in what has now become an Anzac Round tradition;
- Indigenous Rounds are being played in the second half of May across Rounds 6 & 7;
- Pride Round being played in Round 11 on June 29.
