Casino Lions create club history

THE Casino Lions have won the club’s first premiership after winning the Reserves grand final against the Coffs Breakers.

Four goals were kicked in the first half and it was the Lions who kicked all four of them to build a commanding 25 point lead at half time.

In the wet conditions it was always going to be a tough task for the Coffs Breakers to close that gap but they gave it their all in a last ditch bid to win.

The Lions refused to yield though and spurred on by the prospect of creating history, they held on to win by 21 points.
