Record numbers for Force trials
The passion for Junior rep footy continues to grow, with record numbers nominating for this season’s North Coast Force representative program.
A combination of the partnership with the Sydney Swans Academy, the limited opportunity for rep footy over the past two years, and the growing reputation of the Force program have all contributed to the overwhelmingly positive response that is highly evident this year.
This is best highlighted by Sunday’s attendance at the second trial where over 70 players were present despite the extremely wet weather in the lead-up and on the day.
Paul Taylor, Community Football Manager, said that the program aims to build year on year. “Just like club footy in the region, our rep program gets stronger every year.
“As players see other locals who started in the Force progress through to higher representative honours they know that the local program is the first step on their pathway. Our aim is to help each of those individuals become the best player they can be, whether that’s to play higher levels of rep footy or to be a strong performer in the local competition.”
The 2022 North Coast Force representative teams will be announced later this week.
