“On this day in September” – 21 September

The 2021 AFL North Coast vote counts got underway last night with a lot of interest in the progressive leader boards. Here we take a look back at the Senior Best and Fairest which was announced on this day 36 years ago, long before the majority of our current players were born!

1985 SENIOR PRESENTATION NIGHT
Anthony Cummings was the second Grafton Tiger in a row to win the League Best and Fairest Medal. Steve Smith became the first person from the club to win the B&F the previous season – a remarkable achievement by Anthony and John considering that the Tigers didn’t play in either Grand Final!
