Coffs rep carnival postponed to September
As a result of the government restrictions that are now in effect until Friday 9 July, the organisers of the Coffs rep carnival have had to make the tough decision to postpone until September.
The stay at home order that is now in place for Wollongong and the Central Coast has meant that two of the six rep programs can no longer get to Coffs, whilst people travelling from the Hunter and North West are starting to withdraw and putting the viability of teams from these regions in doubt.
Whilst all associated with the various rep programs are disappointed that this decision has had to be made, it’s acknowledged that there really was no other choice.
This is a definitely a postponement and not a cancellation!
The new plan is to stage the carnival in the September school holidays. Organisers are currently working around other representative events that are being staged at this time, and working through ground availability. As soon as a decision on new dates is made it will be communicated to all involved.
We thank everyone for their understanding in relation to this challenging situation and look forward to staging an awesome carnival in September!
