Festival of Footy gets 2021 season underway
Saturday’s Festival of Footy is a great way for the Senior Men and Women to put the finishing touches on their preparations for the 2021 season. It’s also a fantastic celebration of local footy as we embark on our 40th season of League AFL on the North Coast.
All eight Men’s teams will be in action across two grounds at Leisure Park, Coffs. The first matches of the day for the Men get underway at 12:05pm, the last matches finish at 5:00pm, with each team playing three matches of two 20 minute halves.
The six North Coast Women’s teams will be joined by Ballina Bombers and Byron Magpies for a huge day of footy. First matches are at 10:25am and will see games played across both grounds at Leisure Park plus the C.ex Coffs International Stadium. From 11:05am all Women’s matches are played at the Stadium, with each team playing three matches of two 15 minute halves.
With the North Coast competition seeing such strong expansion for the 2021 season this is a great chance to get along and see each club in action.
The Festival of Footy is being played in accordance with government COVID restrictions which means that all participants and spectators need to:
- Sign in via the QR codes which will be at venue entry points, changeroom entries, and at the canteen at both Leisure Park and the Stadium
- Adhere to 1 person per 2 square metres
- Players are to bring individual water bottles
