Breakers throw support behind local Paul Kelly Cup team
Coffs Harbour Breakers are showing their community spirit once again by getting behind the fundraising efforts of the kids of Coffs Harbour Public School as they prepare for the State Final of the AFL NSW/ACT Paul Kelly Cup in Sydney.
The Coffs kids won the regional final to book their place in the State Final at GIANTS Stadium. The trip is subsidised by AFL NSW/ACT but the Breakers have decided to do their bit to reduce costs even further by joining forces with the school to hold a family fun day at Fitzroy Oval this Saturday (20 July).
The family fun day includes jumping castles, kids v adults footy match, sausage sizzle, novelty events like egg and spoon race and sack race, and raffle where the incredible first prize is a signed Sydney Swans jumper.
Only a couple of the Coffs Harbour Public School kids play club footy for the Breakers but the club has thrown its support behind the school’s team to ensure that they can all be involved in a once in a lifetime footy experience.
The family fun day will be held at Fitzroy Oval (Coff Street, Coffs Harbour) from 10:00am to 3:00pm on Saturday 20 July.
Well done Breakers and good luck to the Coffs Harbour Public School Boys team in the State Final!
