Six North Coast players in Sydney Swans Reserves

A quartet of local AFL North Coast players have been selected to play for the Sydney Swans Reserves in their round 4 clash with the Gold Coast Suns in the North East Australian Football League (NEAFL).

Grafton’s Luke Stanford, together with Coffs Harbour Breakers trio McKinlay Pearce, Chris Frangos, and Jacob Sincock all get their chance to show their wares at the elite level in the match to be played at 11:00am on Saturday 28 April at Fankhauser Reserve, Southport.

For Pearce, this is the second week in a row the Swans have come calling. He obviously impressed in the Swans last match against the Brisbane Lions where he kicked a goal in the last quarter to be offered a second chance to be part of the Swans set-up.

The four North Coast players will get the chance to rub shoulders with two other former locals in Jake Brown and Harry Parker who will also be part of the team. Brown was rookie listed with the Swans late last year to become the first player from the region to get a shot at the AFL, whilst Parker relocated to Sydney at the start of the year to pursue his footy dream. Pearce and Sincock played Junior footy and the early years of their Senior careers with Brown, whilst Parker received the Woodlock Medal as best on ground in last year’s Senior Grand Final for the Breakers.

Best of luck to all six North Coast boys.
