C.ex Group Extends its Support for Local Footy
AFL North Coast is delighted to announce that our fantastic corporate partner C.ex Group has happily extended its support for the code in the region.
In 2016 a Cross Conference element was introduced to the Senior competition where North Coast clubs play against their Northern Rivers counterparts to add variety and generate new interest. The increased travel associated with this competition added extra cost to footy clubs operations, and C.ex Group partnered with AFL North Coast from the outset to help reduce these costs and make the Cross Conference Competition more accessible.
Paul Taylor, AFL North Coast Operations Co-ordinator, is delighted that C.ex Group have extended their support into 2017. “The Cross Conference competition was a raging success in 2017, so much so that we’ve extended the format to provide more home games for each club, and to include Reserve Grade.
“C.ex Group has been brilliant. We approached them as soon as the format was decided and they’ve jumped straight back on board and made sure that players from across our region can take part in the format that has generated so much interest and added so much quality to the contest. This is just another way that C.ex Group is actively demonstrating its support of the local community.”
The first round of the Cross Conference Competition is on Saturday 29 April and sees Port Macquarie Magpies hosting Tweed Coast Tigers, Grafton Tigers at home to Byron Magpies, Sawtell Toormina Saints are away to Lismore Swans, and Coffs Breakers travel to Ballina to take on the Bombers.
