Your chance to train with an AFLW GIANT

Calling all female AFL players of the North Coast. Here’s your chance to train with Pippa Smyth from the GWS GIANTS AFLW team.

Pippa will be running an open training session for girls and women aged 9 to 99 from 1:00pm to 2:30pm on Monday 16 July. The session will be held at the Coffs Harbour Education Campus Oval, a.k.a. The Village Green (Hogbin Drive, Coffs Harbour).

The session will focus on all key skills of AFL footy and is a must for any player looking to further develop their game.

Smyth was selected by the GIANTS with the 43rd pick of the 2017 NAB AFL Women’s Draft and made her AFLW debut in round 4 against the Adelaide Crows.

Pippa, 22, is a powerful and athletic key position player hailing from Nelson Bay in the Hunter region. Since crossing from netball three years ago, she has continued to develop her footballing skills and has developed a strong overhead mark. She usually plays in the ruck but can play in key positions or on the wing given her elite fitness and top end speed that saw her finish first overall in the 20m sprint test at the draft combine.

To register for the session please complete the form below. Players attending should arrive 15 minutes early, bring boots and joggers, water bottle, and mouth guard.
