Junior rep carnival is a Force to be reckoned with!

The North Coast Force rep teams are ready to launch into battle on home soil when they take part in the Northern NSW Championship in Coffs Harbour from Monday to Wednesday (11 to 13 July).

This week’s wet weather has posed problems for the organisation of the carnival, but a late move to C.ex Coffs International Stadium and Leisure Park East (Bruce Barnier Fields) has all but guaranteed that the event will proceed.

Due to the COVID pandemic, the carnival hasn’t been held since 2019. With 27 competing teams across six age groups, the event will be the biggest one yet, showing just how keen the junior players are for rep footy.

“Since we last staged this event, Hunter has split itself into two programs, Metro and Country, and we’ve also added the Youth Girls 13 and 15 age groups,” said Paul Taylor, Community Football Manager.

“In addition to the Force, Hunter Metro, and Hunter Country, we’ll also have the Illawarra Storm and Central Coast teams. There will be over 600 junior players taking part in more than 80 matches across the three days.”

Matches start each day across the three ovals at 9:00am and will run to 8:00pm on Monday, 5:00pm on Tuesday, and 1:30pm on Wednesday. To see the full program please click here.

Entry to the carnival is free, including all matches at the C.ex Coffs International Stadium.
