Force has spots for Youth Girls 13 & 17, plus boys U17
With the League’s new Youth Girls competition underway, it’s now time to give these future stars of our game the chance to shine on the representative stage!
A girls Under 13 train-on squad was announced following the North Coast Force selection trials held last month, and a dedicated, girls only trial will be held after round 3 of the local competition to fill the remaining spots in the team.
Paul Taylor, Community Football Manager, said that the demand for the rep team has been huge despite the competition being in its infancy. “We had 12 girls try out for the mixed gender Under 13 rep team so we knew from the outset that there would be plenty of interest for a girls only rep team,” Taylor said.
“The girls who are new to our sport are already falling in love with the game. They’re also quickly realising that they’ve got a natural talent for footy and will be ready to put their names forward by the time of the trial on 16 May.”
The trial for the Youth Girls Under 13 rep team will be held on:
Date: Monday 16 May
Times: 6:30pm to 8:00pm
Venue: Richardson Park, Sawtell
Any girl born between 2009 and 2011 (inclusive), who’s playing club footy in 2022, and is keen to be considered should contact Paul Taylor on paul.taylor@afl.com.au to express an interest.
There are also a limited number of places to fill in both the male Under 17 and Youth Girls Under 17 North Coast Force representative teams so a further opportunity is being provided for players to be considered for selection.
Players who are interested in pushing their case for selection are able to attend the next scheduled Force training session as their trial. This session will be held on:

To be eligible for the Under 17 team players must be born in 2005 or 2006 (inclusive) and playing club footy in 2022.
To be eligible for the Youth Girls Under 17 team players must be born between 2005 and 2008 (inclusive) and playing club footy in 2022.
