“On this day in September” – 15 September

After a quieter day in history yesterday, 15 September is marked by the awarding of the 1990 Best and Fairest Medal as well as the staging of two Senior Grand Finals.

1990 SENIOR PRESENTATION NIGHT
Woolgoolga Blues stalwart Barry Smith was crowned the League Best and Fairest.

1991 SENIOR GRAND FINALS
South Coffs claimed their fourth Senior Premiership, placing them just one flag behind the Woolgoolga Blues to that point in time.

Reserve Grade and Under 18 were not contested in 1991.

1996 SENIOR GRAND FINAL
After missing playing in the Grand Final for the first ever time i the previous season, 1996 saw the Woolgoolga Blues bounce back to claim their eighth Senior Premiership.

Reserve Grade and Under 18 were not contested in 1996.
