Senior club profile: Northern Beaches Blues

In this new pre-season feature we’ll profile each of our Senior clubs. In this edition we look at the Northern Beaches Blues who returned to the competition in 2019 after a 13 year break and won the Reserve Grade flag.

HOW IS 2020 SHAPING UP? (Glen Golsby-Smith, Club President)

Our club has grown considerably this year. The support we’re getting from sponsors, players, and the community in general is awesome. We’ve picked up a lot of new players which means we’ll have a Senior Men’s side together with Reserves, and a stand alone Women’s team after last year’s joint venture with Grafton.

HOW IS PRE-SEASON GOING?

We’ve had a good pre-season so far with more numbers turning up every session. The amount of young kids wanting to play for our club this year has been really pleasing and shows we’re going in the right direction.

MEN’S TEAM PROFILE

“We’re shaping up very well. It has a 2019 feel about it, only multiplied by three as there are three times as many people around the club ready and willing to help out in any way possible.” Marcus Davey, Coach.
