Coach development workshop with Tim Schmidt

All coaches are invited to join Tim Schmidt when he runs a coach development workshop in Coffs Harbour on Monday 25 March.

Tim is the AFL NSW/ACT Coach Development Manager, was the inaugural coach of the GWS GIANTS AFLW team, and played for the Sydney Swans between 2004 and 2009.

Tim’s session will be on “Coaching Philosophy and Effective Training Sessions” and will include both theory and practical. The session will cover coaching styles and approaches, planning and delivering sessions that will engage and develop players, and session progression over the course of a season.

All coaches are strongly encouraged to attend, whether they be first timers or experienced hands, are coaching an Under 11 team or Senior Men’s or Women’s team. Attendance at the session will count towards re-accreditation at the end of the season.

Note – coaches will not be able to access the workshop information if they have any outstanding modules to be completed on Coach.AFL (example – haven’t completed Code of Conduct, haven’t completed ‘respectful relationships’ module etc).
