North Coast players keep on excelling!

Tom Ryan has been selected in the NSW PSSA team.

 

North Coast players continue to excel at state level with six selected in various elite teams this week.

Tom Ryan (12) from the Port Macquarie Magpies Junior football club has been named in the NSW PSSA team that will compete at the National Championships later this year.

Along with a number of other North Coast players, Tom competed at the state carnival in Bateman’s Bay two weeks ago and was rewarded for his strong play with a place in the PSSA team.

Kye Wilson (16) from the Port Macquarie Magpies has gained selection in the AFL NSW/ACT Rams Under 17s team for Round 1 of the 2018 Under 17s Futures Series.

The Under 17s Futures Series will comprise of three games where the Rams will take on Tasmania, Queensland and Victoria over the coming months. AFL NSW/ACT’s first match of the Series will be against Tasmania on Monday 11 June at Blacktown International Sportspark at 12:30pm.

Lilly Doyle (17), Ahlani Eddy (17), Georgia Breward (17), and Brianna McFarlane (17) have capped a great weekend of matches for the NSW ACT Under 18 team against Tasmania with selection in the Eastern Allies ahead of Round 2 of the 2018 NAB AFL Women’s Under-18s Championships.

The Eastern Allies comprises the best players from NSW, ACT, and Tasmania and will take on the Central Allies (a hybrid SA and NT team), Western Australia, and Queensland when they travel to the Gold Coast in July.

Lilly plays for the Grafton Tigers and Ahlani plays for Sawtell Toormina Saints. Georgia is a former Grafton Tiger and Bree a former Lower Clarence Eagle but both now play for Coolangatta.
