North Coast boys impressing with the Swans

Former North Coast locals will be making their mark in both the NAB AFL U18 Academy Series and the North East Australian Football League (NEAFL) this weekend, with three payers featuring prominently for the Sydney Swans development teams.

Jack Hardman (Lower Clarence Eagles) has been selected in the forward line for the Sydney Swans U18 Academy team for the round 2 clash against Northern Territory. This match will be played at 3:20pm on Saturday at TIO Stadium, Darwin.

Fellow Academy players Jack Mapleson (Coffs breakers) and Max Lower (Port Magpies) have both been selected for the Sydney Swans NEAFL team that takes on the Brisbane Lions on Saturday at South Pine Sports. This is round 1 of the NEAFL competition and Jack and max have been rewarded for an outstanding pre-season.

A fourth member of the North Coast brigade in Jake Brown (Coffs Swans) is being rested as part of a load management strategy.

We wish the boys good luck for a big season.
